The role

We are looking for an Intern to join the Security Influence Team of one of Australia’s best- known companies. Working 21 hours a week, our successful candidate must have excellent graphic design skills, be able to work autonomously (though there is a strong team culture) and be thirsty to get into the cybersecurity and data protection field. You can choose your hours but will work from our client’s offices in North Sydney. The initial term for this engagement is until 30 June 2018 with the view to extending through FY19.

Responsibilities in the role include:

Developing content, graphics, templates and presentations

  • Support the Security Influence Team by providing graphic and collateral design
  • Support the broader Security Team by producing presentations and related collateral and newsletters
  • Develop creative content (e.g. images and videos) to support initiatives and projects

Monitoring and reporting on the use of Workplace, an internal social media/ communications tool)

  • Monitor and coordinate responses on Workplace (in consultation with subject matter experts in the broader team)
  • Track and record results of the Security Influence Team’s campaigns on Workplace

Providing administrative support

  • Develop and collate survey results
  • Co-ordinate updates to the team’s Visual Management Board on a weekly basis
  • Consolidate and update monthly team presentations for TV screens in each office (including design work for the imagery)
  • Help coordinate content updates for the intranet
  • Assist with managing speaker approval processes (with Brand, Corporate Communications and Legal teams) and arranging internal speaker sessions

To be successful, you must:

  • Be Sydney based and able to work from our client’s offices in North Sydney
  • Have excellent graphic design (and ideally video editing) skills and be happy to work on a PC
  • Bring excellent knowledge of MS Office and the ability to make presentations and documents look awesome and engaging. Experience with Prezi is viewed as an advantage!
  • Be a creative thinker who can turn tricky concepts into engaging content
  • Be a self-starter who is outcome orientated and does not need a lot of supervision
  • Be highly organised and brilliant at time management to meet deadlines
  • Have a customer service attitude – goes the extra mile with a smile
