Our client is a market-leading global brand.
Background
Security leaders rely on the support and engagement of senior internal stakeholders, including boards and executives, and must continually positively shape their perceptions and understanding of the importance of security and strategies being implemented.
The value of security programs and functions is not always apparent to non-security executives. However, the support of these executives and other stakeholders is often critical to a Chief Information Security Officer’s (CISO) ability to successfully execute on their mission.
CISOs must continuously engage and educate their stakeholders on the value of their function to the organisation. Unfortunately, many lack the time and capability to focus on this critical task.
Our role
Drawing on our strategic communications experience and in-depth cyber security domain knowledge, we developed a campaign to support the client CISO’s desire to positively engage and influence their key stakeholders within the business, which included heads of departments and C-level executives.
The campaign included an engaging quarterly security newsletter and periodic executive-level information sessions on security.
What we did
elevenM carried out the following activities:
- Developed an internal engagement and influence campaign.
- Produced a handbook summarising the role and importance of security to the business, and outlining the client’s security strategy and capabilities.
- Produced a quarterly ‘CISO newsletter’ of newspaper/magazine standard, covering the latest security trends, key wins of the security team and upcoming milestones.
- Developed information sessions on the security strategy and approach for the CISO to run for senior executives.
